The preciding deity, Sri Anjaneya Swamy said to be Swayambhu. This temple came into existence nearly 500 years ago. Sri Anjaneya Swamy temple in Kondagattu, Karimnagar district, Andhra Pradesh is the most popular ancient Hanuman temple. The preciding deity, Sri Anjaneya is believed as "SANJEEVARAYA " for the diseased, mentally retarted and those who don't have children.
