A Tale from Ananda Ramayana

OM SRI HANUMATHE DEERGHA VALAAYA NAMAHA.

The Ananda Ramayana contains another interesting story according to which the fire of the tail of Hanuman could not be lighted in spite of all the efforts. When all efforts bore no fruit, then Hanuman suggested that Ravana should blow the air from all his ten mouths. As soon as Ravana puffed the wind out of his ten mouths, the fire was ignited but, it, at the same time, burnt the beards and moustaches of all the ten faces of Ravana and in order to extinguish the same he started slapping all the faces with his twenty hands. All those present there started laughing together with Hanuman.
