HANUMAN'S WORSHIP 2

HANUMAN'S WORSHIP.

The villages or hamlets inhabited by the tribes and aborgines have representations of Hanuman, however rude and formless. The custom of daubing these amorphous rocks with vermillion or red lead paste (Sindura) and oil, especially on Tuesdays and Saturdays, is an ancient one, and survives to this day.

Hanuman is said to inhabit jungles and roam about on mountains. He is regarded as the spirit behind storm, gale, tornado, lighting and torrential rain. He is indeed a Hero who is a dare-devil, but is also fond of His devotees. He is unseen, but His presence is convincingly felt.
